Article 1: The S.D. Correcaminos and the Valencia Council arrange the II Divina Pastora Valencia Race 10k, taking place on Sunday 18th November 2012, in parallel to the 32nd Divina Pastora Valencia Marathon.
Article 2: Anyone wanting to enter the 10,000-metre urban foot race will be able to do so, whether non-associated or associated, even foreigners as long as they comply with the regulations RFEA and IAAF and provided that they are 18 years on the day of the event and have the Affiliate license. The circuit, passing through the city and over asphalt, is approved by AIMS/RFEA and every kilometre is indicated by sign panels. This race is included on the national calendar.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The event is on the national calendar of the Real Federación Española de Atletismo (Royal Spanish Athletics Association) and by registering, the runner expressly transfers his or her data to the association’s Carnet Corredor program and the companies that take part in it for their promotional campaigns. The organization of the event and/or the fact of having a Carnet del Corredor Plus (Runner Card Plus) guarantee that the runners who participate are covered by a civil liability insurance which also includes any accident happening in any event of the RFEA’s official calendar. Either way, according to the Ley de Protección de Datos (Spanish law regarding data protection), the competitors can exercise their access, rectification, cancellation and opposition rights either by posting or e-mailing an application to the Real Federación Española de Atletismo’s programa Carnet Corredor. Article 3: The start will be given at 9:00 a.m. and the race will finish at 10:15 a.m.; the latter will be the official maximum time limit. The runners will have to put themselves in the starting area according to the intended position.
The runners may use the cloakroom that will be placed at the starting/finishing area and the chemical toilettes placed around the starting line.
Article 4: The registration will be open from December 15th to November 4th, 2012, both inclusive.
The fax registration must be confirmed by telephone. The registration won’t be valid until the data and proof of payment have been received and confirmed. The organization accepts no responsibility for loss or delay in normal delivery.
REGISTRATION FOR CLUBS
To be eligible for the prize in the associated team’s category, it’ll be essential to send to the S.D. Correcaminos via fax 96.346.36.35 or via e-mail info@correcaminos.org the Club’s registration number relative to the association and its name along with the athletes’ name, surname(s), date of birth, ID number, and Association License number as well as the name, surname(s), mobile telephone number and e-mail direction of the person in charge of the Club, apart from each individual registration form.
REGISTRATION PERIOD:
Within the 15th December 2011 and the 4th November 2012: €10.
After the expiration date: €15.
Article 5: There will be a refund of the 50% of the registration fee only in case of injury or illness, if a medical certificate is provided at the headquarters of the S.D. Correcaminos (c/Arzobispo Fabián y Fuero, 14 bajo, 46009 Valencia) up to the 22nd October 2012; the refund would be paid once the race is held. No 50% refund will be carried out after this date.
Article 6: The race’s categories are established as follows:

* It is compulsory to be the age on the day of the race.
Categories established for wheelchair athletes are:
- Athletes in athletics regulation wheelchair.
- Athletes in regulation handbike (non-competitive)
- Athletes in other kinds of wheelchairs (non-competitive)
Article 7: TROPHIES:
In the general ranking, the first five men and the first five women will be presented with a trophy, as well as the first three runners in the rest of the categories.
Ranking by Clubs:
Trophy for the first 3 affiliated teams, adding the times achieved by the first three associated athletes from the same club.
The associated runners won’t be able to represent another team different from the one listed in the Federación de Atletismo (Athletics Association) and will compete with their team’s clothing.
Trophies not collected on the day of the race will be at the Organization’s disposal, giving to understand that they’ve been rejected if they haven’t been collected by the 21st December at the club’s headquarters.

To be eligible for these cash prizes, men must clock a time inferior to 32 minutes and women, to 37 minutes.
If the athletes don’t achieve such times, the cash prize will be reduced by 50%.
There’ll be no prize for men clocking more than 35min. 00sec. and women clocking more than 40 min. 00sec.
THESE PRIZES WILL BE CUMULATIVE
Every cash prize is subject to deductions established by law. The amount of such prizes will be paid by bank transfer or cheque once the times are officially recognized and the RFEA discloses the results of the dope test.
Article 9: The chip and the bib number will be exclusively handed at EXPO SPORT, which will be located at the showground in the Príncipe Felipe Museum in the City of Arts and Sciences on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th November, from 10:00 to 14:30 and from 15:30 to 20:00 hours.
No bib number will be handed on the day of the race. In case of not being able to collect it personally, a signed consented authorization form may be given to a third party with the necessary photocopy of the ID card and proof of payment.
The race will be monitored by the F.A.C.V.’s Referee Committee.
There will be checkpoints along the course. Only the runners wearing the chip and the bib number provided by the organization will appear in the ranking; either way the runner will have to check the smooth running of his or her chip at the timekeeper’s stand at EXPO SPORT.
Article 10: The chip-bib numbers are personal and non-transferable, they must be placed on the chest without being manipulated or bent. The nonobservance of this article will be cause for disqualification. The race’s Referees and the Organization reserve the right to disqualify any offender that doesn’t wear the runner number visibly, manipulates and/or transfers it to another runner, alters the data given to the Organization or to the Referee according to their ID card or association card, doesn’t finish the whole course, shows a bad physical condition, doesn’t provide the Organization with the required information or breaks any other rule under the provisions of the Normas of the FACV, REFA and IAAF; provided that a runner realizes the irregularity. It’ll be compulsory for the affiliated to compete with the corresponding clothing of their club; otherwise, they may be penalized.
Disqualified runners won’t be eligible for the prizes and the trophies.
No unregistered runner or runners without a bib number and a chip will be admitted by the Organization, they will be prevented from gaining access to the race in defense of the rights of those registered according to the regulations.
Likewise, the Organization or the Local Police are authorized to take a runner away during the race if he or she has exceeded the time limit to cover a kilometre, which are established by the organization, by more than 5 minutes.
Disqualified runners won’t be eligible for the prizes and the trophies.
Article 11: The running route will have been properly marked by the organization.
There’ll be a provisioning stall at kilometre 5.
Article 12: There will be sanitation and ambulances coordinated by the S.D. Correcaminos’ medical team at kilometre 5, closing the race along with the broom wagon.
All registered runners are required to fill in the rear of the bib number with their names, surname(s), telephone numbers in case of emergency, medical problems if there’s any (allergies, special attention needed, etc.), and any special treatments being taken.
Article 13: As the Marathon is included in the calendar of both the R.F.E.A. and the F.A.C.V., there will be a compulsory dope test.
Any runner who refuses to take the test after being told to do so will be automatically disqualified from any category or prize.
Likewise, the awarded athletes who take such test will have to wait for the result to receive the prize.
Article 14: The only authorized vehicles to go along behind the runners will be the ones established by the Organization. Because of safety concerns, it is strictly forbidden to compete pushing any kind of wheeled vehicles (prams or similar), to come in with kids and to follow the runners on motorbike, bicycle, rollers or any other vehicle. The Local Police and the race’s Referees will have been expressly instructed to take them away to avoid accidents.
Article 15: The Organization accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury that competitors might be caused or cause to a third party, although it has an Accidents and Civil Liability Insurance, which will cover incidents inherent in the race.
Article 16: Claims must be done orally to the Referee, no more than 30 minutes after the results have been officially communicated. If they are rejected, a written claim together with a deposit of €100 should be submitted to the Appeal Jury. In case the resolution was in the runner’s favor, the deposit of €100 will be returned. If there’s no Appeal Jury, the Referee’s decision is not open to an appeal.
Article 17: By registering, all runners state that they know and accept the hereby Regulations and the Disclaimer and Data Protection Depositions. In case of doubt, the Organization’s criterion will prevail.
Disclaimer and Data Protection Depositions
By the simple fact of being registered, the runner declares: “I am in an optimum health condition to take part in the II Divina Pastora Valencia Race 10K. Moreover, I exempt the Organization, sponsors or any other involved entity from any accident or injury I might have before, during and/or after the sports event; that is, from now on, I renounce taking legal action against any of such entities.
During the holding of the competition I will collaborate with the Organization as far as possible to avoid personal accidents. I also authorize the Organization to use any picture, video or any other kind of audiovisual material I may appear in and I accept the publication of my name in the race’s ranking, in the media and/or on the Internet, without expecting any payment, economic reward or payback, on this matter.”
Article 18: When registering for the II Divina Pastora Valencia Race, the competitors give their consent so that Investigación y Desarrollo de Iniciativas Empresariales (Research and Development of Business Initiative), S.L and S.D. Correcaminos, can automatically use their personal data with sports, marketing or promotional purposes, either by themselves or by other third parties.
According to the “Ley Orgánica 15/1999, del 13 de diciembre”, regarding Personal Data Protection, the competitor has the right of changing or removing the contents of these archives, entirely or partially. To do so, a written application must be sent to the registered office of the S.D. Correcaminos (C/ Arzobispo Fabián y Fuero, 14- 46009 Valencia).
Likewise, according to the promotion, distribution, exploitation and sports interests of the Divina Pastora Valencia Marathon, all the registered runners expressly transfer the right of showing their name and surname(s), their place in the general ranking and in their category’s ranking, their category itself, their time achieved, and their image (display of the pictures of the race, publication of the ranking, etc.), through any means (Internet, advertisements, etc.) and without a time limit.
The organization reserves the right of changing the hereby regulations, if deemed appropriate, having the obligation to announce such changes on the website and in the runner information.
FINAL CONSIDERATION Anything that is not considered in the hereby Regulations will be ruled by the Competition General Rules of the FACV, RFEA, IAAF, for the current season.
